Makeda Dereje

Visual Artist and Industrial Designer

Makeda Dereje is a visual artist and an industrial designer and is currently living in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Her works include fashion design, home accents, portrait drawings and floral/landscape paintings. She is now a 4th year student at Alle School of Fine Arts and Design to work on her Bachelor’s in Fine Arts. She now is currently working on a handbag and accessories collection.

Kaleb Mihretu

Painter and Studio Artist

Kaleab Mihretu is a painter and studio artist born and raised in Desse, Wollo. Kaleab attended Entoto Vocational and Technical School and graduated in Painting in 2017. Kaleab has showcased his work in the following exhibits and locations: Friendship Hotel, MorningStar Mall, Wollo Bahl Amba Adarash and Ras Amba Hotel. Kaleab believes that a good artist is socially sensitive and purposefully interactive.

Yared Amare

Studio artist and children’s Art Teacher

Yared Amare was born and raised in Addis Ababa around Gulele kifle ketema. Yared loved art since he was a child and attended Abyssinia Art School and later on attended Entoto Vocation and Technical School, graduating with a diploma in painting in 2009. Yared is a studio artist and also teaches children’s art classes. Yared has shown his work in the following exhibits: Fine Arts in National Theater, Morning Star Mall, and Fine Arts in Entoto Art School.

Abel Beyene

Studio Artist and children’s Art Teacher

Abel Beyene was born and raised Addis Ababa near the French embassy. Abel loved art since he could remember, so he enrolled in Abyssinia Art School for two years to develop his skills and passion. Afterward, Abel attended the Entoto Vocational and Technical School graduated with a diploma in painting in 2009.

Abel is a studio artist and also teaches children’s art classes. He has shown his work in the following exhibits: Fine Arts in National Theatre, Gote Institute Architectural and Art Exhibit, Entoto Art School (Adwa Exhibition) and Ethiopian Cultural Center.
